How to get traffic to your website

One of the most important things about of having a website is getting people to come to your site. WIthout traffic your site is essentially worthless. So what’s the ideal way to get people to your website? There are only a couple different types of traffic. Free and paid. So what does that mean? You can either purchase traffic or you get people to come for free.

In deciding to buy traffic to get folks to your web site, you can use services like Microsoft and models referred to as Pay Per click. Now, what happens here is that you tell Microsoft, for example, how much you are willing to pay for each visitor. And depending on the amount of competition you might end up payng a lot or a not much per person. From a few pennies per person to several dollars per visitor. So it can get real pricey. But it’s quick, reliable and usually precidtable traffic. This model works at getting people to your site.

Another example of a model is the banner and paying for impressions model. With this technique you don’t spend per click, you purchase a certain number of impressions typically measured in Cost per Thousands (CPM). And there are various ad networks out there that you can join and upload your banners and other websites put that banner on their site for the determined number of impressions. In this approach you might get a ton of visitors or none at all.

The important thing about buying traffic is that you really need to test the results and keep an eye on the process, otherwise you might just be wasting your whole budget.

The other option when it comes to getting people to visit is getting FREE traffic. Free web traffic can come from the search engines which unless you’re lucky, requires knowledge of search engine optimization. Free traffic can also come from other websites. Linking between sites is a helpful way of getting traffic. Other ways of getting free traffic might be things like writing articles and submitting them to article directories. You could also post meaningful comments on social sites like forums and blogs with a link to your site can also help you get additional free traffic.

So there are several ways to get visitors to your site. And really both ways free and paid, should be implemented and tested to see which one works best for your particular website.

Does anyone know how I can add my own pay per click to my website?

I am interested in adding pay per click to my website. But the only problem is how do I do it? I do not want to add google adwords. I want to add my own system, I’m just wondering is their certain merchants that offer pay per click, does this have to be done by a programmer? Basically, how can I accept credit cards and have money taken away everytime someone clicks on their product?
The answer is yes. Pay per click on any banner or Advertising on your site can be done, but your site should have first a programming language enabled like asp, or asp.net or PHP, with Database like MSACCESS or MYSQL or MSQL. You choose between windows hosting or Linux hosting which you have enabled on your site, then you will have to make the program it’s pretty much simple. I did one on asp and MSSQL, on each click the program should take from the client money to your account that doesn’t mean always making a transaction. The user has to recharge his account and put limit per month like Google or yahoo. And to make a secure program with money payment and products you need programmer or you need to make researches on the net and try to find a way to do it by yourself. Money payment can be used just to make the user recharge his account. Always you can use third party money payment.

Do we need a “PERSONAL WEBSITE” to start pay per click advertising campaign?

I don’t quite understand the pay per click advertising process. I understand how it works but how can I personally get started? If I make an account on Google ad words do I need a legit business? I don’t own a business or any website.
Hi, well, you need a purpose for your pay per click adwords campaigns… you can join as a free member on clickbank and promote other products to make money as an affiliate, which would give you a purpose for using adwords aside from not owning a business or website, but you would need a domain name at the minimum, and you have to be careful about redirecting your ads to content that matches your keywords…at least create a small webpage with some information related to your ads, read this site there’s some cool videos about that here: http://www.maverickmoneymakersfunwealth.com

How much do companies Pay Per Click?

I working on a few site that would generate alot of traffic, but wonder how much you get paid per click.
Any more Pay Per Click in not a normal way of getting paid. There are still some that will pay you that way, but most Pay Per Action. In other words, they pay if your site pushes someone to their site, that either purchases an item, or fills out some kind of form. Examples: Amazon pays you if someone buys a book from your link. Credit Card companies sometimes, and many times pay you if someone fills out the application form. If you can match a good product to your topics, you can make some good sales. Also, take a look at Google’s Adsense as a way to generate money from your site.
